Aashayein

‘Aashayein‘ is the story of a strong-minded gambler who finds new significance of wealth and liveliness by a disturbing circle of incidents that happened in his life. In the movie, John Abraham is playing the role of an enthusiastic gambler whose essence completely changes because of the cruel humor played by his destiny on him.

Written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, along with John Abraham as Rahul Sharma in lead role with Sonal Sehgal as Nafisa, Prateeksha Lonkar as Sister Grace, Girish Karnad as Parthasarthy, Farida Jalal as Madhu and Ashwin Chitale as Govinda.

Rahul is an ill-tempered, complicated and an obsessive gamester who desires to live the life he has always fantasized for. Nafisa on the other hand is a caring, adoring and a lovable girlfriend who wishes and believes that love always wins. Sister Grace is a character that has dedicated her life for the happiness of her inmates and is willing to bend her principles for them. Parthasarthy is a pleasure-seeking kins-person for everybody, however, because of his immense principles; he look forward to get patch up with his family. Madhu is a brainy, clean-living and admire girl. She hopes just to lead an ordinary life and not be left in the cold. Govinda a young boy loves comics, mangoes and telling stories to people. He lives in a comic world and sees every person as a comic character. The movie is an account of Rahul’s caravan from shame to pleasant. A caravan about adoration, abominates, liveliness, losses, and most importantly, hopes.

The movie is running quite successfully till now.
