Endhiran - Indian cinema is getting bigger and better in science-fiction films. Here is an another upcoming movie which is not only a Highest Budget Science-Fiction Movie Of Indian Cinema, but the most expensive Asian film ever made. Endhiran – The Robot.
Starring Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles with A. R. Rahman working on background score and soundtrack.It is a futuristic film by Shankar, Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta with a tag line “The Robot”. Other major stars in the film include Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Kalabavan Mani. The film is a trilingual having Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions.
The film is a story of a scientist (Rajinikanth) who creates an android man with an artificial brain. This android seems to be exactly like him and behaves too like a human being to help mankind. But the robot afterward gains further human characters. After a few technical improvements, the robot becomes almost human. It falls in love with Aishwarya Rai and sings romantic songs and in addition doing many other things. After knowing the astonishing brainpower of the Robot, the criminals lead by Danny Denzongpa attempt to get a hold of the Robot. Scientist Rajini then fights to save the Robot falling into the hands of the enemies and destroys the evil forces using the Robot itself.
Director Shankar has given a number of blockbusters in his carrier. Some of his greatest hits include ‘Sivaji’ in 2007, Nayak: The Real Hero in 2001 and many more. There is one interesting fact about this movie. Stan Winston Studios which handled visual effects for iconic films like Aliens, Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park took care of the animatronics in the film. Shankar has used animatronics technology, seen in Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park trilogy for ‘Endhiran’. The movie is expected to be released worldwide on 24 September 2010.
