Lafangy Parindey

Lafangey Parindey is directed by Pradeep Sarkar, produced by Aditya Chopra and starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone. The film is from the stable Yash Raj Films banner.

Reportedly, Lafangey Parindey is based on the bike gangs in Mumbai. The film features the fresh pair of Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the character of Nandu, a fighter who pummels his opponents in the ring blindfolded. Deepika Padukone plays Pinky Palhar, a dancer who is blind but ambitious and dances with roller skates on her feet. Deepika will be seen in an action avatar and both the lead actors have done some daredevil stunts in the film. He teaches her to see and she teaches him how to love. The story is all about the price which they pay for their love. Director Pradeep Sarkar tells this love story is set in the gritty streets of Mumbai in his venture Lafangey Parindey.

The music album has six original tunes composed by R Anandh, famous ad jingle composer formerly part of the band Agosh, who also did music for Sangeeth Sivan’s films Zor and Nirnayam (Malayalam). Lyrics have been done by Swanand Kirkire.

The lead pair are said to have done some mind-blowing stunts in the film. During the shooting of the film Neil Nitin Mukesh admitted that the physical violence of the film is real. “I’m covered with welters, wounds and bruises”, he explained. The film should be another gross earner for talented Deepika Padukone.
