Red Alert-The War Within - Some films reflect the current grim realities that are a threat to the nation. The inner confilict needs to be resolved to live a better quality life. All cinema does not revolve around trees with a song and dance. Some also depict the guns that are booming in the forest and hinterlands. Red Alert-The War Within is an Ananth Narayan Mahadevan’s directorial film produced by T P Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal. Starring Suniel Shetty, Sameera Reddy, Vinod Khanna, Naseeruddin Shah and Bhagyashree, the movie is based on a true life story of a farmer.

The main protagonist of the movie Narasimha (Suneil Shetty) is a manual worker who doesn’t have sufficient wealth for his children’s education. This critical requirement for money fores him to become a part of the dreaded Naxalite group. Ashish Vidyarthi is the hard core group leader of this movement. Narsimha joins the group as a cook, but soon he finds himself involved in all the kidnappings and shootouts. He finds himself in a tense state of affairs. He cannot live with the horrors of terrorism nor can he leave the group because his family needs the basic nourishment which it provides. The movie revolves around this needy farmer. Narsimha, is in a situation in life he had never dreamt he would have to face. An argument with the assembly of leaders twists his life upside down; eventually he is on the run from both law and the rebels.

Red Alert-The War Within is an unstable explanation of today’s times and situations and is gathered directly from today’s hot headlines. The movie has proved out to be commendable in its efforts to notify of this disastrous rush of aggression. All the characters are put in place eventually. Anant Mahadevan has played smart in giving each character the role they could play perfectly. Red Alert conveys a compelling story.
