Toh Baat Pakki

The movie appeared to be a pre release hit, only by looking at the stars. The same could be told about director Kedar Shinde’s ‘Toh Baat Pakki’. The movie is a romantic comedy.  After a long time Tabu returns. This time she has opted for a light-hearted comic role. Tabu has played a chatty, curious, control freak Rajeshwari who is busy in finding the true match for her sister, Yuvika Chaudhary in the whole movie. On hearing about her neighbor’s singleton tenant, engineering college student, Sharman Joshi, she immediately lures him to her house and tries to trick him to be a groom for Yuvika Chaudhary. It doesn’t take a lot of attempt because the youngsters right away fall in love. But the love story is short-term since Tabu finds another elegant groom, Vatsal Seth, who happens to be Goddess Lakshmi’s choice too. This is when she throws out the old tenant and brings in the new one. And the story continues with both Yuvika and Sharman getting back together after facing so many troubles.

Even though the movie did not have an impact on peoples mind, it proved to be a satisfying trip. The film rather reconstructs that refined age when movies spoke about flesh and blood people who didn’t shout, yell and holler revenge. The actors gave full justice to the roles offered to them. You can sit back and stay down for some mild laughs. The film succeeds in offering the audience an attractive drama on Friday.
